Do the phased in 17% cuts (7% in 2010) announced by APA make it likely that as a neuropsychologist you will opt out of Medicare in 2010?

Sorry, I just realized that you must create a user name to vote. It's easy to register and later unregister if you wish.

It would be a possible violation of anti-trust laws to call for a boycott or collude to set prices. See: http://www.neuropsychologycentral.com/interface/content/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1130 also see the update indicating the draconian cuts will be phased in and "only" mean a 7% cut to neuropsychologists next year.

However, it is a valid question as to whether potential cuts take an already reduced fee to a reimbursement rate so low that they are impossible to sustain and force neuropsychologists out of medicare. So, the survey above is solely for a non-scientific research survey.

There is also nothing wrong with forwarding any questions about these medicare cuts to: pracgov@apa.org
