Hello,

I really dont know much about neuropsychology, however there was a documantary on Discover Channel which caught my attention alot. It was a guy in England who I believe was a student of NP -excuse my ignorance of not knowing the details - and he did this "trick" on the street. Basically, he took a random person and asked him to put his hand on the window, then he talked to him saying things like "that hand is now released from you...it does not belong to you...it feels like it is getting stuck " etc. Then afterwards, the person with the hand on the window could not detach the hand from the window.
He stated that this was ofcourse very different from hypnotism, as it relates to a thing called Neuro Programming. Does anybody have any information on this, as I find this highly fascinating.

Thank you.

Was the window frozen?

Just kidding.

Whatever you call the phenomenon, it really has nothing to do with neuropsychology, so I'm afraid I can't tell you anything about how it works. Doesn't sound any different from hypnotism to me though. You don't need a pocket watch to hypnotize someone. Sounds like a guy who wanted to sound impressive on TV so he gave a new name to something that's been around for ages.
