The Women in Leadership (WIL) Committee has announced its second annual scholarship award for student members of NAN. Mentors -- please pass this information along to your students!

All student members of NAN, regardless of gender, are eligible to apply for the 2011 WIL Edith Kaplan Scholarship Fund. The four scholarship recipients will receive the following: free registration for the WIL Networking Event, free registration for one three-hour CE workshop at the 2011 NAN Conference, and $350 to defray travel expenses. Winners are expected to assist with registration at the WIL Networking Event on the evening of November 16, 2011.

Please submit a 500 word (minimum) to 1000 word (maximum) essay on the following topic:

Please describe your thoughts about what is important in a mentor or sponsor. As you discuss this issue please reflect on the person or persons who influenced you the most and in what way. This mentorship or sponsorship can be in neuropsychology or a related field. Please describe any world or life experience that might make this an important issue to you personally, to the field of neuropsychology, to women in general, or to society.

Please send your essay to the WIL email address at wilofnan@gmail.com no later than midnight EST on July 1, 2011.
