Hello,
I have a 17 year old that completed testing and I would like to know when they are diagnosing a mental delayed disorder, is a VINELAND absolutely necessary in this? Please advise! |

generally, if mental retardation (or other terms used for cognitive deficits of below 65-70 IQ), the general standards are that a test of adaptive functioning be used. The vineland is just a brand name of one adaptive funciotning measure. It can be very critical in the diagnosis, so many government agencies and school districts require such a measure _________________ Ernest J. Bordini, Ph.D.
