DIRECTOR OF NEUROPSYCHOLOGY: SHEPHERD CENTER, ATLANTA, GEORGIA:
Requirements:
Position requires substantial education, training and experience in neurorehabilitation, neuropsychology, research, supervision of doctoral and masters level staff, administration and program management-development. Board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology with expertise in assessment, intervention and research in neurorehabilitation populations is required.
Responsibilities:
Candidates would be responsible for supervising and mentoring neuropsychology and psychology division directors, developing and monitoring budgets, consulting with hospital program directors and administrators, engaging in brain injury grant writing and research in conjunction with Crawford Research Institute staff. The Neuropsychology Director will also be responsible for providing some clinical service, directing the APPCN Fellowship in conjunction with current faculty and serving as an educational resource for the hospital and community affiliated programs.
Additional Information:
The department head reports to the Center’s Vice President for Clinical Services. The department currently has a large neuropsychology and psychology staff with divisions in acquired brain injury (inpatient and outpatient), spinal cord injury, neuropsychological assessment, multiple sclerosis, pain management. The department also has an APPCN Fellowship (2 fellows).
Depending on expertise, academic appointments may be possible.
