The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Sports Concussion Program is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellowship position. This is a 2 year position under the clinical direction of Michael W. Collins, Ph.D. Fellow duties will primarily consist of brief and extended neuropsychological evaluations of child and adult athletes with sports and recreation-related concussion. In addition, the clinic receives referrals for neuropsychological evaluations of patients with non-sport TBI, as well as other neurological and psychiatric disorders. The volume of patient referrals is high and extensive programmatic research is ongoing. Involvement in research is encouraged through the provision of dedicated research time on a weekly basis.
The appointment is a 24-month, full time position, beginning in August or September 2013. A doctoral degree in psychology, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and training in neuropsychological assessment are required. Applications are due by January 1, 2013. Interested applicants should send their CV, 3 letters of recommendation, and a statement of goals and interests via email to collinsmw@upmc.edu or via postal mail to: Dr. Michael Collins, PhD, 3200 S.
