Athens, GA - Postdoctoral Fellowship In Neuropsychological and Psychological Assessment
Opening in Athens, Georgia for a postdoctoral fellowship to begin August or September, 2013 in a thriving private practice. Job duties include psychological testing, clinical interviewing, and report writing. Post-docs will receive valuable training in a wide variety of assessment procedures with a diverse population (adult and pediatric). Requirements include completion of all assessment coursework, solid background in testing and report writing, ability to work independently, and ability to quickly learn and integrate new tests into your repertoire.
We are seeking one postdoctoral fellow for specialty training in neuropsychological assessment, which would comprise approximately 30-40% of the fellowship. Referral questions may include cognitive status subsequent to head injury, stroke, cancer treatment, genetic conditions, and other CNS insults or degenerative diseases. Referrals come from various sources including neurologists, primary care providers, Department of Labor, and the Department of Family and Children's services. General psychological evaluations comprise the remaining 60-70% of the fellowship.
We are seeking one to two postdoctoral fellows for training in general psychological evaluations with adults and children. The fellow would be responsible for a wide variety of assessments, potentially including Social Security Disability testing, fitness for parenting evaluations, forensic assessments, and psychoeducational evaluations.
Completion of an APA-accredited training program and internship is required. Supervision is available and post-doc will satisfy Georgia licensure requirements. Pay is competitive and schedule is flexible based on the needs of the postdoctoral fellow. We would consider part time as well as full time interns. Athens is just a 45 minute drive from Atlanta and is home to the University of Georgia. To apply contact Eli Solomon, Psy.D., and send cover letter, CV, a list of tests you are familiar with, and references to solomon.em@gmail.com. For more information on our private practice, see our website, www.positive-outcomes.com. |
