Postdoctoral Fellowship
August 19, 2013 - August 15, 2014
Stipend $31,500
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship Program provides comprehensive training in college mental health including experience with intakes, assessments, on-call coverage, crisis intervention, suicide assessment and management, brief counseling, individual and couples counseling, group therapy, consultation, case management, and working with a diverse and gifted student population. Postdoctoral Fellows work as part of a multidisciplinary staff. Postdoctoral Fellows can choose one of two yearlong specialty tracks – Mental Health Promotion and Risk Reduction (MHPRR) or Gender and Sexual Identity (GSI). Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have completed ALL requirements for the doctoral degree by the start date. Applicants who can demonstrate strong experience with diverse student populations in general, and with specialty tracks are preferred.
Application Procedures
To apply for our Postdoctoral Fellowship, please include the following:
• A completed CAPS application (download from our website) - including your responses to all three essays (brief therapy experience, diversity experience, and specialty track experience) - please limit your responses to 250 words or less for each essay.
• A cover letter indicating your interests and goals for the Fellowship
• A current vita reflecting all clinical training and experience
• Three letters of reference (two from former clinical supervisors)
