I am really interested in forensic neuropsychology and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good resources or web sites that might be able to give me some information. I dont really know anything about it and I want to do some reading to see what it is all about. If you have anything to reccomend, let me know.
Thanks,
Natalie |

I have TBI. Early in my Workers' Comp claim a Pain Psychiatrist wrote a very predjudice report that stopped all medical treatment. He DID NOT compair my test results to extensive MRI's showing advanced spinal degeneration. I often complained about being 'spacy' not knowing about TBI. I am looking for a phorensic psychologists to review my test for an upcomping hearing with the hospital, where I had the accident, and the private Workers' Comp inusruance company.

| I am moving this to the general category.but it looks like word-for-word copy of homework to me too: and it is correct... it doesn't actually help anyone in the long run to copy the answers from someone else.Had you had a go at the question yourself and opened a thread following at least some analysis, research or input, it might have helped. |

Seems to be a mixed bag of responses to the topic of forensic neuropsychology, started a long time ago. In addition to the forensic links indicated an overview can be found at one of my practice sites: http://www.forensicneuropsychology.com
With respect to the later post on a forensic psychiatrist reviewing or not reviewing spinal MRIs, that would be the province of a psychiatrist or better a neuroligst, though most psychiatrist or neurologists and even neuropsychologist could get an understanding from the radioloists read and make some determinations in conjunction with a psychiatric eval (or in the case of psychologist - testing) to determine if there also was a psychiatric disorder such as a chronic pain disorder, somataform disorder, etc. However, there are honest experts and those who are clearly more biased. THats why each party should have competent attorneys - to do a good job questioning the experts. _________________ Ernest J. Bordini, Ph.D.

| I was recently adviced to read Neuropsychological track a cell phone Rehabilitation books. And i caught myself interested in such aspects as human experimental and clinical research related to rehabilitation, recovery of function, and brain plasticity. |
