| I am looking to receive some advice on what would be an optimal post-internship position for an individual who will be ABD for a semester? And of course, suggestions on how to find such positions. Thanks! |

A) no job, work full-time finishing your dissertation
B) neuropsychology technician, part-time
advantages: ~$20 an hour, no take home work (i.e., no reports)
C) behavioral analyst
advantages: ~$30 an hour, limited take home work
D) Walmart greeter |

You could also look into postdoc positions, some of them do not require that you complete your dissertation prior to beginning; the downside is that you can't accrue "postdoctoral hours" toward license / board eligibility until you complete your dissertation. You'd have to check with each individual postdoc to see if they accept ABD's. _________________ Lee Ashendorf, Ph.D.
