Just wondering if anyone can point me to some good recent articles on stroke related aphasia...or any well known authors on the topic
Also just wondering what the feasibility is of gaining a post doc in neuro with a psyd...i'm assuming it would be a bit more difficult than with a phd but just wanted some clarification |

A) I don't have any specific recent articles to suggest, but look up anything by Harold Goodglass, I don't think the field has been revolutionized since a few years ago when he died.
B) Shouldn't be a big problem, especially if you're not looking for a research postdoc. You'd have trouble with folks who are biased against PsyD's, but you don't want to work for them anyway. There's a growing number of postdoc supervisors who are PsyD's themselves, so that should help. _________________ Lee Ashendorf, Ph.D.

| Very good to hear. I just interviewed for a PsyD at UIndy and discussed this in depth with some of the faculty there and was told essentially the same thing along with some success stories about students coming from their program. Hopefully the PsyD stigma isn't as deep-rooted in neuro in 6 years as it is now |
