I'm currently finishing up my Master's in General Psychology at Walden University, and I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice about how to find a mentor in the Neuropsychology field. There are many advantages to being able to participate in a non-traditional program, but one of the disadvantages is that I'm not plugged in to the network of local people in this profession, (as I would be if I were doing my program at the U of A, for example).
So, I need to get plugged in, but I have no idea how to go about doing that. I'll be moving to the Seattle area soon...should I start making contacts at the University of Seattle? I'm a little afraid I might meet with some discrimination because I'm not attending that university for my PhD program, but I'd like to get started on a neuro-based internship ASAP - while I'm working on my PhD. Any advice? Thanks! _________________ Denielle Johnson |
