| I have a 4 year old who has some developmental issues. he is scheduled to have a neuropsychological evaluation. Need resource on private schools in maryland who deal with children with slight developmental issues. |

I'm not in Maryland, and I wouldn't count private school out, but keep in mind that private schools are not required by law to provide special services. The majority of private schools who specialize in developmental issues often cater to high need students. Many less affected children fare much better in mainstream classes (private or public) with strong IEPs/ accomodations.
Best of luck to you! _________________ Carrie

I don't think private schools work with disabilities or delays. Your only choice is a public school system. Contact the Child Study TEam for an evaluation. They can provide in-class support and services such as speech, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy or other types of modifications.
My kids have no choice but to attend public school for services. WE have a good school system here, so I'm not complaining.
You won't be able to get services in a private school. Good luck with your decision. |
