Firstly, I really appreciate this site, and "its" efforts at dispelling myths and confusion relating to grad schools within the field.

I am finishing up a BA in Psych. I would like to persue research that is geared towards investigation of comorbid factors (e.g. cellular/ neurological & behavioral) on major psych disorders. I do NOT want to work primarily with movement or language/ memory disorders, which seem to be "hot topics" in clinical neuropsych.

Is there a degree program that exisits prior to obtaining a PhD that fits my aim? Do I have to obtain a PhD in clinical first? Am I bordering on Psychiatric research?
