Hi, am new here and would really appreciate any information that can provided. I am hoping to enrol in an Respecialization program in Clin Neuropsych that is APA accredited, but am having trouble finding such a course as they appear to be very rare! Would anybody out there know of a good course?

Thanks,
Lisa

Brigham Young U. has a neuro specialization in their APA accred. Clinical Psych program. It's a good one with faculty such as E. Bigler, who's a big hitter.

Several BYU neuro faculty have done PhDs at Johns Hopkins, but I don't know anything about their program.

I think you'll be looking for clinical psych. programs with a strong neuro faculty (a good faculty needs students to help with research), and then you'll be asking about how their neuro specialization track works.

For example, at BYU, the neuro clinical students take about 5 extra courses and are excused from a couple, like Rohrshach (sp?) and Group therapy. In the meantime there is lots of MRI based research.

Good luck on your search.

You can also try the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in California.

Go to www.fielding.edu

They offer a postdoctoral certificate in neuropsychology. I also believe that the program is APA-acredited.
