Hi Celine,

The MSE Rapid Record Form is not a test or measure - there is no score. It does not even suggest how best to conduct a mental status examination. It is just a way of rapidly recording the signs and symptoms that are observed during the examination. If it does anything more, it would only be to prompt the examiner to be more thorough, and to record many of the observations that they may otherwise overlook in their normal notes. It is up to the mental health professional to determine what the signs and symptoms may indicate, and what the next steps should be.

Hope this Helps.

Cheers,

Jeff
